BlackHawk MOD CQD Mark I Tactical Knife

This award-winning knife was designed by the official close-combat trainer of the U.S. Navy SEALs with extreme duty in mind.

Its rugged milled aluminum construction, state-of-the-art plunge lock mechanism, and secondary safety lock make it one of the strongest folding knives ever produced. The precision-ground 154CM stainless steel blade is available with a plain edge or partially serrated and features an ambidextrous thumb stud for rapid one-handed manual opening. Once open, the positioning and function of the plunge lock button ensure that the operator’s fingers are clear of the blade path when closing the knife. This makes both deployment and stowing of the knife a one-handed operation, even while wearing gloves. The Mark I feature a raised area around the lock button and a sliding secondary safety to prevent accidental disengagement of the lock during use.

The unique handle design of the Mark I includes a three-dimensional hilt that provides an exceptionally secure grip in all situations. In addition to its primary blade, the Mark I features a recessed support blade for safely cutting seat belts, clothing, parachute cord, or restraints in situations where deployment of the primary blade might not be tactically sound (for example, around flotation equipment or in close proximity to another person’s body). The forward portion of the handle also houses a carbide glass breaker for breaching windows, making it an ideal choice for paramedic and rescue personnel.

The sterile, unmarked, manually operated Mark I LE (Limited Edition) optimizes the weapon potential of this knife with the addition of a sharpened false edge on the top of the blade. A ballistic nylon belt pouch is included with the Mark I and an optional Prylon™ sheath (included with the LE model) allows the Mark I to be carried in the open position like a fixed-blade knife. For users who work with explosives or do extensive rope work, an optional folding spike assembly is also available that can be used to create holes for blasting caps or as a marlinspike to loosen knots.
